FALL 4-WEEK SERIES
The Gut-Nervous System Connection
A Four-Week Group Series in Gut-Directed Hypnotherapy and Somatic Practice
For many people living with digestive conditions, food has become a source of stress rather than nourishment and pleasure. Daily life gets reorganized around what the body will and will not accept, and the anticipation of what might follow. Gut-directed hypnotherapy works alongside nutrition, medical care, and other approaches to directly address the nervous-system dimension of digestive health.
This is a clinical approach used within the field of disorders of gut-brain interaction, supported by a substantial and growing body of research. It works by guiding the nervous system into a state of deep relaxation and receptivity, introducing specific suggestions that may help shift the gut's stress response and support a more easeful relationship with digestive function.
Across four weekly sessions, Dr. Natasha Kassam will guide participants through education on the gut-nervous system connection, gut-directed hypnotherapy, and somatic practices selected to support digestive health.
Each session offers time to settle, listen differently to the body, and practice skills that can continue beyond the series.
This series is a complementary support alongside existing care. It is suited for people living with IBS, chronic bloating, stress-related digestive concerns, and gut-related anxiety. Results vary based on individual history and underlying conditions.
Though each session can stand on its own, attending the full series is recommended, as the protocol is designed and researched to offer the most benefit when experienced as a complete arc.
Led by: Dr. Natasha Kassam, ND, Clinical Hypnotherapist.
Format: Four weekly sessions, 75 minutes each.
Location: mBody Health, 1940 NW 24th Ave, Portland, OR 97210.
