Kester Cotton

PT, DPT, OCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Orthopedic Specialist

Dr. Kester Cotton is a physical therapist who specializes in orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, and performing arts medicine. As a former professional ballet dancer, he has a passion for working with aesthetic athletes — dancers, gymnasts, aerial artists, and yoga practitioners — as well as endurance athletes and active individuals of all kinds.

Kester earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Pacific University in 2011, then spent a decade in Boston at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine, where he was a key contributor to the Dance and Performing Arts Medicine Program and the National Running Center. His clinical approach is evidence-based and collaborative, incorporating therapeutic exercise, soft tissue mobilization, and spinal manipulation to help patients build strength, restore function, and return confidently to the activities they love.

Kester is a Portland native who is excited to be back in the Pacific Northwest, where he enjoys hiking, cycling, paddling, and spending time at home with his wife, Kathi, and their two children.
